Jimmie Dale Beard
Jimmie Dale Beard was born April 25, 1935 and passed away in Tacoma, Washington May 4, 2012. Jimmie retired from the US Air Force after 23 years as an E9 (CMSG). He served in Nebraska, Washington, Michigan, New Mexico, Labrador Newfoundland, the Philippines, and Vietnam. He was a member of the NALC Branch 130 and AmVets Post #1 and was also a member of the Old Time Fiddlers of Washington and Oregon. Jimmie spent many years traveling in a 5th wheel with his wife, Ardis, visiting family and friends.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife Ardis. He is survived by his children Patricia Jones, Jimmie Beard Jr., and Brian Beard, grandchildren Carolyn Beard, and Cynthia (Jordan) Ward, siblings Don (JoAnn) Beard, Kenneth (Meiko) Beard, and Mary Sittner, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
Jimmie and Ardis are together again and he is united with the love of his life.
A Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Mountain View Memorial Park. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Union Hall, JALC Branch 130 Building, 3502 Pacific Ave., Tacoma, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer Research or the American Cancer Society.
