I am still in shock. I love Jerry more like a brother than a cousin, and can not believe he is gone. I know that he was a good, caring, and giving man. He became my best friend and confidant in the past year, and took me into his home. I miss him terribly. My heart goes out to Dennis and the rest of the family, which includes Connie now. She was the reason he was the happiest he had ever been in his life. The smile says it all, and I am so happy they had the time together, even though it was much too short. I am sorry I can not be there to help, but I need you to know you are all in my heart and prayers. I love you Jerry, and will miss you always!

I will always remember Jerry. He was one of my first students when I taught my first year of school in DuPont. It was a K-4 classroom. He came to see me when he graduated from High School and again at my retirement. What a sweet young man he was.
I will always remember his smiling face.

Too young to go........I will miss you, your sense of humor, shining smile, our last minute dinners when Rose & Dale come our way, and our morning meetings at the Dupont store. You are with your mom, Granny, Papa, and all who we have lost over the years. I hope that you will look upon us and help us through the rest of lives with your warmth and love. It is so hard to believe that someone so young has passed. Almost unbelievable at first, then the realization sets in. But he will live on in each of us who hold a special part of him in our hearts.
You have our deepest sympathy and we are here for you if you need us.##imported-begin##Dan and Donna Gates##imported-end##
I remember Jerry was always such a happy guy who could always be seen smiling. When he was married to my cousin, he was a lot older than I was so he was more like an uncle to me. He made an impact on my life during my formative years and I will remember him fondly. I am so sorry for your family's loss of this big-hearted guy. Connie, I am deeply sorry that you have lost your loved one also.##imported-begin##Danielle Milner##imported-end##
How sad I was to hear of Jerry's passing. I remember him most as "Dennis' little brother, and the much talked about enormous grin he always seemed to be wearing. My deepest condolences to all those closest to him as I can only imagine how painful this time might be for you. You were a good "big" brother Dennis. I remember that too.##imported-begin##Theresa (Shenkel) Kelley##imported-end##
