Jeanne Hill's Obituary
Jeanne Kominski Hill
Jeanne was born in Everett Wa. On March 24th 1941, and passed away at her home in Parkland Wa. on April 8th 2014. She had over a yearlong battle with lung cancer. She grew up on a Dairy Farm in Roy Wa. with her parents Johnny & Ann Kominski and sisters Joann, Janice & brother Jack. She attended Yelm High School and graduated in 1959. In May of 1960 she was elected for Dairy Princess and attended dental school in Tacoma. In 1964 she married Glenn Bartheld, the couple had 2 sons, John and Jason. In 1982 after 18 years of marriage the couple divorced, sending Jeanne a stay at home mom, back into the work world, working for Dr. Roger Mayfield at Allenmore Medical Center where she loved talking, interacting and helping with all the patients. In 1988 she met Robert Hill, the couple married and resided in University Place until Robert passed away. Jeanne stayed at the couple’s home in University Place until June of 2009 where she then moved to her dream home, a condo on the Brookdale Golf Course. After retiring in 2011, Jeanne had so much energy and was always on the move, she loved shopping at thrift stores, spending time at the farm helping with everything from feeding and caring for the animals to planting flowers and cooking. The last 7 1/2 years have been spent with her life partner Frank Pettey. The couple enjoyed car shows, gardening, traveling, and doing just about anything together. Frank has been so strong, standing by her and lovingly supported her through this rough time with her illness.
Everyone loved Jeanne, she was a fabulous mother, a devoted wife, great sister, Aunt and a loyal friend. Her passions were her family, gardening, animals, traveling and baking goodies for others. She was a no nonsense, take charge kind of gal, with a heart of gold. Jeanne would want us all to remember her as a happy loving person. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her, she has touched so many lives. I would like to thank everyone for their help, love and support through this tough time. A special thanks to Frank Pettey for taking exceptional care of my mom, and loving her unconditionally. Also to my Uncle Jack and Aunt Candy for your help and support throughout all of this. And Mary Meek her god child, for flying here on several occasions to love and support her.
Thank you all, John ( J.G. )
