I first met Janice before we started school. Her grandmother lived on the corner of my block and she would sometimes invite me to come and play with Janice when she was visiting. She was a quiet but very sweet girl.
We reconnected in high school and I got to know her better. Janice was smart, kind, caring and truly genuine. She always had a kind word for everyone and had a lovely spirit.
I have seen Janice and Walter at our reunions through the years. Her face always lit up when she talked about her beloved Walter and their son Paul.
We were FB friends and I enjoyed her photos of Yahacts—her happy place.
My sincere condolences to Walter, Paul and all of those who loved Janice. May you feel God’s love surrounding you at this time of deep loss.
