Janice Baldwin's Obituary
Janice Setsuyo Baldwin, age 85, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 12, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on February 11, 1929 in Osaka, Japan where she met her husband, Archie Baldwin, who she will be joining in the heavens. Janice and Archie led an adventurous life, which brought them to Steilacoom, WA where Janice has lived for 45 years. Janice was a beautiful, loving, caring, funny, and resilient woman who was loved by all and will be deeply remembered by those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, members of Whitney Memorial United Methodist Church, staff at The Old Country Buffet, and all other people who were a part of her life. Janice is survived by her children, Patricia Baldwin (Rick) and Dexter (Kim) Baldwin, her grandchildren, James & Chya Thompson, Jared & Lexi Baldwin, and her niece Setsuko (Bob) Patton, as well as many other relatives. All services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home. Viewing takes place Friday, Apr. 18 from 10am-6pm. Funeral services are Saturday, Apr. 19 at 10am in Valley Chapel with graveside services following. Services will conclude with a reception at the Celebration of life Center.
