Family of Janice,
Janice, Let me just say first, thank you. Thank you for all selflessness that she has shown thru the years, all the time that she spent with us, for all her service in one of the toughest restaurants to work in anywhere, but most of all thank you for being you. I remember the 2nd day I worked in Lakewood after transferring from Kent, it was Mothers Day of 2003, line out the door and there was Janice at the busiest area of the buffet, controlling all the madness. Checking every guests receipt to make sure nobody was trying to pull a fast on us by not paying. Many times she would come up uhha I caught another one, she would have them make sure and pay their fair share. She was quit the bulldog and was pleasant while doing it, but also had that side that meant business. Thru the years I really got a chance to get to know Janice and appreciate her, and so did so many other people at the store be it guests or employees. She basically had many many families because she saw families grow and grow, from birth, to school, to driving, to graduation, to having their own kids, it was very special to see the relationships that she had built, and not because it was work, but because it was Janice and just the person that she was. Even after 2011 when she retired she still would come in quit often and give gifts to myself and the other managers to pass on to our kids for x-mas and birthdays or whatever holiday was coming, she would also bring in Rice and pasta for the team to take home, always thinking of others and the needs of others. Now on the lighter side, How about those Mariners, holly cow I never had anybody to talk to that knew so much about her team. It would always put a smile on my face when her and I would get talking Mariners, win or loose, I really enjoyed those talks.
Janice again thank you for being you, always a person of integrity and thoughtfulness that will never be forgotten.
Miss you, David Hill, family and friends at Old Country Buffet
