Dearest Jim,
I can't believe that it's been a month today since we lost our dear, sweet Jan. My heartfelt love and prayers go out to you and the family at this most difficult time. I, too, am missing my best friend trememdously.
As I sit here writing to you,the room is filled with memorabilia scanning 44 years of friendship that Jan & I shared. I feel her closeness when I am surrounded by all the loving memories and all the laughter we've shared.
Jan was an inspiraton to us all to trust in the Lord. She was a strong Christian and lived by example. Even though Jan was talented in so many ways, she always appeared humble and was the first to compliment others on their achievements. Jan was made of warmth, kindness, love and consideration. Just being around her made you feel happy and content.
She always had that "special" smile for me that I will picture in my mind forever.
I thank God that he blessed me with the bestest friend in the whole wide world! My heart aches for her, but yet I know, how much better off I am to have had her in my life for such a long time. She'll always be a part of me and I hope that in some way I can help ease your pain with some of the funny stories I have to tell about our growing up days.
Thank you for making my Jan so very happy.
Love Always,
Pat##imported-begin##Pat##imported-end##

I met Jan years ago by sharing a room at the WA State Nursery Assoc conventions. We made it our annual get-together for several years. She was a delight to be with -- upbeat, fun-loving and very thoughtful. The gardens she designed reflected the beauty of her character. I will greatly miss her.##imported-begin##Jeannine Florance##imported-end##

Sorry for your loss...Pam just told me you folks hadn't been together that long; and I know that makes it tougher to deal with.

It was our pleasure and privilege to know Jan. Twice over the last ten years she transformed the yard space of our North End homes into gardens of tranquility, beauty and fun. Jan was a talented and gifted landscape artist. She truly enjoyed her work and listened to our cravings and desires in creating our lovely (and enduring) garden spaces. At least monthly I am asked, who did your garden-?-it's lovely (and low maintenance; and blooms all year :)). We will miss her. Joe and Maria##imported-begin##Maria and Joe Regimbal##imported-end##
