Jan always said, "If anyone tells you their family is perfect... don't believe them."
But...I learned to be patient and kinder too.
So many favorite memories of our friendship with Jan, our neighbor of the past several years, but my all time favorite is the time we spent playing Nine Hole (card game) with her and her daughter Lu. Many laughs were had. Jan collected frogs, and one day I saw a little, tiny outdoor grey pot with a frog on it and a tiny green plant. About 3"x2"x2"... I told her she needed to keep it warm and water it once a week with a tablespoon of water. She could have killed me a month later when she found out it was a plastic plant. 😄 We also enjoyed meeting all of her children and most of the grandchildren. Great family, great friends. 💙
