"Jackie"
Jackie was born in Greenville, NC, on July 6, 1935 to the late Velma Norris-Clemons and Johnny Norris.
Jacqueline attended Epps High School in Greenville, NC, where she excelled in her classes and played guard in basketball.
She married her childhood sweetheart Carlton B. Tucker. They made their home in the state of Washington in 1962. Jacqueline worked at Lakewood General Hospital and St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, WA until her retirement in 2003 after 40 years of service; becoming known as and "angel of a nurse" to the patients she cared for.
Jacqueline had numerous hobbies including knitting, sewing, bowling, reading and watching Joyce Meyers on TV. She had a green thumb for planting and growing vegetables and house plants. She loved to cook, trying lots and lots of gourmet dishes.
Jacqueline was the best homemaker, caring for and protecting her family and always ready and willing to help others.
Jacqueline was a member and devoted supporter of Bethlehem Baptist Church, of Tacoma, WA. She also served as the 2nd Worthy Matron of Esther Chapter #27 of Tacoma, WA.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her Brother Johnny Norris, Sister Barbara Jean Norris, and her parents.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband of 68 years Carlton B. Tucker, Son Donald Tucker, Daughter Gwendolyn T. Crocram, Grandson Quincey Crocram and his family (Wife Brianna, Son Quincey Jr, Son Jacob Dietrich-Crocram and Daughter Vivianna). Sisters Joyce Norfleet, Melba Hyman, Rosa Cherry, step-sister Debbie Parker and a host of Nieces and Nephews, relatives and friends.
Jacqueline passed away October 25, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital and will be missed by everyone.
