Jack Steffensen's Obituary
"Always A Helping Hand"We lost our Jackson at his home in the arms of his loving family after a courageous battle against cancer on Sept. 21, 2002. Jack was born in Badger, SD and raised in Huron, SD where his mother (Frances) and his sister Joannie (Dave) as well as his in-laws still reside. His brother Jim (Julie) live in Federal Way, WA. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.Jack moved to Washington with his wife Linda and sons, Rick and Scott in 1966.To Linda, his loving wife, he was her life and always will be, she had promised him all of her love today, tomorrow, and forever. She would have gladly changed places with him, but God wouldnÂ't listenÂ...To Scott, Rick and Terry, he was their best friend and mentor and they think he was twice the man they will ever be. To his precious grandchildren Brian, Robbi-Ann, Scott Jr., and Dylan he was their hero.To Coco he gave the true meaning of Â"fatherÂ" in father-in-law.Besides being a good friend he was always a willing, helping hand for his friends, neighbors, and even an occasional stranger.Jackson thoroughly enjoyed fishing, golf, and watching NASCAR, however, with Linda, his joy of shuffleboard came with a wonderful Â"familyÂ" of friends from near and far that meant so very much to him. Though we must say Â"Good ByeÂ" for now, please remember, on a clear night, thatÂ's not a shooting star you see, itÂ's JacksonÂ's golf ball sailing across the Heavens as he follows behind it, once again, walking straight and tall.At his request, no formal Memorial will be held, but our home is always open.
