How sad I was today to learn of Mrs. McNetts passing. I deliver her mail & have for the past three yrs. I had wondered why I hadn't seen her for awhile but just thought that she was on vacation. I am sorry to hear about Irene´s passing. She was very beloved by all that knew here. I will never forget the time I have spent and the things that I have learned from her and George.
I am so grateful to be here in Brazil as a missionary for the LDS church that she belonged to. I know that God truly has a plan for all of us as his children. We are here on earth to gain expirience and prepare to return to our Heavenly Father´s presence. Were I am certain that we can be together once again with our families and our loved ones.

Irene was a wonderful caring person. We are part of the Croft Family and were good friends of hers.
We will always remember her as happy and friendly to all she met. She had a deep love for all people especially little children. She had so much energy and a desire to serve others.
She is going to be missed by all but we know that she is with her beloved husband George and that we will one day see them both again.

My thoughts and prayers are with the McNett family at this time of sadness and reflection. My family and I have fond memories of Irene as we lived in Westport for 15 years. She was a friend, a mentor, an adopted 'grandmother', a good listener, (and a good cook). She shared her heart, talents and treats and was continually on the go - giving to others.
