Hester Anne Flattum's Obituary
Hester Anne Flattum, 86, passed on January 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma, WA.
Born in Cimarron County, Oklahoma to Harold and Elon Hebron, July 24, 1928. Hester was the mother of six children: Karen (Stan) Clark; Nancy Dillard; Phyllys (Tim) Woehl;
Cynthia (Mike) Williams and Douglas Flattum, all of Washington state. Hester was also the grand, great and great-great grandmother to thirty more children.
Hester graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 from Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, WA.
Hester was a strong woman who overcame many hardships though out her lifetime. Those hardships could not quench her love for the arts.
She loved classical music, especially full symphony orchestra and violin. Hester was a creative soul who loved sketching, designing and creating many creations from baby clothes to wood work items such as room dividers and music stands. Hester also loved flower gardening of which the “Peace Rose” bush was her favorite.
