I unfortunately was unable to meet my father before his passing and now the opportunity to meet Mr. Nickles. First and foremost I extend sincere condolences to the family.”Nick”was a great friend and classmate.We grew up during a historical time in Selma ALABAMA, It taught us a lot lessons which was carried forward thru our lives. Nick always had a calming demeanor and could make a difficult situation into a positive one .His sense of humor and wit could have a lasting effect on all he met. I’ll miss my friend, I wish we had spent more time together at reunions and get togethers....I’ll miss my friend....Rest in heaven,my brother.
Nick was my classmate and friend. I remember days we would walk home from school talking about our next chapter in life after graduation. Nick was a friendly person, a gentle giant but, if you made him mad he was like a tornado. My memories of Nick will always be present in my life, he was more like a brother than a friend and I will miss him. My prayers for his family, there's no sorrow on earth that heaven can't heal."
Nick was a patriot, good friend and part of our family. While stationed in Okinawa Japan in the early 80s Nick and I spent many days fishing in the Pacific. He was always ready to share advise and help a friend. He will truly be missed and I salute his service and many sacrifices to our country. Our memories of Nick will always be with us and our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
