The world lost a beautiful, gracious person when Helene died. She was my mother's beautician and as such I saw her frequently. I remember oohing and ahhing over the selection of gorgeous items she'd brought in to her shop to sell (what taste she had!), over her shop's decor, over her beautiful home & garden...resplendent with her presence.
She was not only an elegant lady, but ever so kind and gracious...even when she was ill and really shouldn't have been working, she managed to work on Mom's hair, doing the wonderful airwave that only Helene knew how to do! She was an artist. With hair, with her home & garden.
I too shall miss her. I only wish I had known her better!
