I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am at your loss. I'm the son of Frieda Clawson, Helena used to sit with my mom at meal time. I didn't know Helena very well, I usually spent the mornings with my mom, but we all would be in the dining room together, and if Helena needed anything, I would always try to help as much as I was allowed. I met Helena and Ivan through their son John while I was attending Hunt Jr. High School in Tacoma. John was in my roll room class with teacher, Mr. Godfree. Helena was like a second mother to me. She and Ivan both would take time to drive us around town to movies, tennis, basketball, the mall and multiple other events. She loved her animals. Helena once gave me a cat to take to college for my Senior Year at WSU. During the drive to WSU my car broke down at North Bend. The cat was going crazy, my parents had left on vacation to Reno, NV and I was stranded. I called Helena and Ivan for help. Helena picked me up, welcomed me & my cat into her home for the weekend and dropped me off at North Bend when my car was repaired. It was these type of constant acts of generosity that I remember Helena for. I will truly miss her and I am proud to have known her.##imported-begin##James Grant##imported-end##
Dear Mr. Johnson,
We are sorry to hear of Mrs. Johnson's passing. She was a lovely lady and it was always a pleasure to see you together at Manor Care. You have been a blessing to us the past two years since mom has been there. Your kind smile has always been a pleasure. Mrs. Johnson was sweet and lovely. We shall miss seeing you both.
