Helen Frances Forrest's Obituary
OBITUARYHelen Frances Forrest passed away on 22 March at the Franciscan Home, just four months after her 92nd birthday. She left us after a very short illness. Helen, born Clayton arrived in Tacoma as a one year old child and resided here, with short interruptions, all of her life. As a young lady she was known as Renee of Ricardo and Renee, professional skaters. Helen was active in her church, The Christ Episcopal Church Tacoma, and with the Daughters of the American Revolution where she served as a regent of that organization. One of her many interests was genealogy. She was recognized nationally for her pursuit in this field. Another interest was writing childrenÂ's stories which were widely read. Helen traveled extensively both here and in Europe. She was a generous contributor to many organizations and causes. Helen was a longtime and senior resident at the Park Tower.Helen is predeceased by her husband Robert Forrest, her brother Robert, her sister Bessie and her daughter Kathleen. She is survived by her sons Bill (Inge) and Bob (Barbara) Jowett, her grandchildren Bob Jowett Jr., Debra Parry, Jeffrey Jowett, Caitlin Stolpman and seven great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at the Garden Chapel, Mountain View Cemetery, in South Tacoma at 1 PM on Tuesday, 30 March.
