As a child, I remember visiting Helen at her home, not really understanding her relationship to my "Big Brothers". We would appear, unannounced, when walking home from Mary Lyon Elementary. I only knew she greeted us with an open door and lovely smile, always interested in how we were doing in school and in our dancing and swimming. She continued to extend that kindness to us as we became adults. I looked forward to the occasional time we would see her. I'll always appreciate her for giving me my two "Big Brothers" who were so very special to me, in ways they will never know, as I grew up. It was always an exciting time around the house when we learned Bill was coming home from somewhere in the world. We knew we could count on a ride in his convertible! And the holidays would not have been the same without the annual visit to Bob and Barbara's at Christmas. Helen will be missed by all who knew and loved her. My condolences and love to my extended family and hers.##imported-begin##Nancy Jowett Crippen##imported-end##
