I had only known Aunt Helen for a few years, but we hit it off right away. She was a very loving and generous person and we feel like we've lost our second mom. Wow, what a wonderful lady. The strongest I have ever known. Thank you so much for the extra love you always gave. To our Ms. Helen, thank you for extending the love to the girls. If we couldn't find the girls they were at your house. They would rather be with you then playing. So many memories, you are missed as our neighbor and friend (and at QFC). Helen lived catty corner across the street from us when we lived on the corner of 12th & violet meadow.
She was a great neighbor to have because she always looked out for our place when we were away. I loved to visit her when I had the chance & listen to her tell about all the adventures she & Art had in their travels. I am sorry for your loss & know how it is to lose both parents. I am sorry to say, I hadn't kept in touch with her but we did run into eachother at qfc not long ago & she greeted me with a big hug like it had been just the other day that I had seen her.
