Anita, I was so saddened to read of Harold’s passing this morning. Having lived across the street, on South 18th, we spent a lot of time together enjoying life as we went through Jr. High, and High School, and then moving into our young adult years. I have many fond memories of times spent at your house, watching TV into the wee hours, playing pool in the basement, drinking tons of iced tea (your mom made the best iced tea), and working on our cars with the help of your dad. Then there was the puddle jumping in the old red pickup, and of course cruising 6th Ave, and working at Food King. I often drive by our old neighborhood, and marvel at how it has changed, and as I go by our homes, I would wonder where Harold is, what he is doing, and that maybe I should try to track him down for old times. It was a much simpler time back then, and I guess you can never go back.
