I attended Gordon's funeral yesterday, and my heart goes out all friends and family of Gordon who are grieving his passing, he was a good man.I have known Goron and Jackie as a couple for nearly all of their 28 years of married life, and I cannot help but feel that Gordon would not have approved of the way Jackie's role as a wife and caretaker to him was minimized at the service.The death of a loved one is a time to draw together and be respectful of our mutual grief, not to settle old scores, or trivialize the loss of another.Jackie is a good woman and a loving wife, and although she would not approve of me writing this, she deserves more respect as a HUMAN BEING than she was shown yesterday.##imported-begin##Miss Manners##imported-end##

Jackie and Family,
So sorry to hear about Uncle Gordon. I always thought of him as a very kind, gently man. And even though I never got to know him very well, I know that my Mother(Sandy), admired and loved him very much. You are all in my thoughts and in my prayers.
