Glenard R. Ranney's Obituary
Glenard R. Ranney of Tacoma passed on April 1, 2015 in Tampa, FL where he lived with 2 of his children. Born April 7, 1936, to Glen & Quma Ranney, he lived in Tacoma 78 years, only moving to Tampa in November 2014.
Glen enjoyed all Washington had to offer, the seasons, Mt. Rainier and Ocean Shores. Hunting, Fishing, Camping and his passion for gardening all came from his father. He loved to tell you a good story as well as watch one, you could always bet it had John Wayne in it. Glen’s career life took him to Boeing, West Coast Door, and International Paper/St. Regis, which he enjoyed years of employment. Of the three he spoke of Boeing the most.
Glen’s quiet, strong, loving presence will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family; children, Cindy Jones, Debbie Ranney-Jones, Laura Cooper, and Cornelius McNary; grandchildren, Stephanie, Melisa, Anthony, and Kristen; great grandchildren, Aliah, Mackenzie, Natalie, and Jenna.
A private service was held for the family Friday, April 10, 2015. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
