Brenda (Ripley) Poppe
My parents Jim & Viola Ripley were best friends with Glen & Quma, Roy (Glen's) parents. Darlene, Roy and Sharon we're like my own brother and sisters. We spent many evenings at their L Street home and later, at the new home on Orchard.
Year after year we spent weekends and vacations, camping, fishing, hunting and also enjoyed rock hunting, searching for flowers for the yards and antiquing. When Glen bought a Chevy truck (blue), my dad bought a red one. When we bought a white 64 Chevy Belair with blue interior, they bought a white 2 door super sport with red interior. They were a special group in those days.
Roy (Glen) was also called Pug by his father. His dad had nicknames for everyone. My heart goes out to all that knew him. I remember him as a soft hearted man.
