My memories of Uncle Nookie (Gilbert) was that he was always smiling! Although he lived miles away, I could always rely on seeing that smile whenever he came back home for visits. I will miss him dearly so R.I.P. Uncle Nook!
As a child into my adulthood. ....uncle Nook was a role model and well respected by everyone in the family. I will never forget his visits home and his words of advice fillec with wisdom. Living with him during my college days was fun and I will always remember the sense of security he provided for me. I will always love you unc....and i miss you dearly.
I will miss you Uncle Nook....I remember when I was very young, and news would come that you were about to visit. I watched and listened to Granny (late Pearl Mae) talk and smile about you. She was so proud of you and she would talk about how smart you were. It made me want to be just as smart. You are one of the reasons I always pursued my education so fervently. I love you. R.I.P
