Gertrude Yuckert Pakiser's Obituary
Gertrude Yuckert Pakiser Passed away peacefully on February 10, 2008 in Tacoma at age 91. She was born October 27, 1916 in Silver Lake, Washington and spent early years in the Puyallup area. Gertrude worked at Martins' Candy Shop in South Tacoma, and later retired from Pacific Northwest Bell. Being a friendly person, she found great happiness in these years. Gertrude won ribbons at the Puyallup Fair for her embroidery talent and was an excellent cook. She liked camping, clam digging, bowling and watching the Mariners. She married Jacob Yuckert in 1940 who died in 1969. In 1971 she married Frank Pakiser who died in 1995. There were no children. Gertrude is survived by sisters Dorothy Morris of Bothell; Mildred Dobbs of Puyallup; Helen Rohlman of Sterling, Alaska, and many cousins. A special thank you to the staff of Alterra Wynwood, especially Nancy and Sue for the love, compassion and care Gertrude received during the past 7 years.
