Auntie Gertie, I have many wonderful memories: camping, clam digging and cleaning, playing cards, New Year's day parties and jig saw puzzles. Can't forget those Friday night hot fudge sundaes at the bowling alley. Thanks to mom (Esther Wiesner) for doing so much for Gert when she was at Alterra. It was always fun to go to the break/lunch room. Gert was the best hostess and took great care of us. I retired from Qwest in 1990 and have often thought about her. Bless you, Gert.

I worked with Gert at Pacific Northwest Bell and always delighted being a fellow employee. She was friendly, fun and caring. Her greatest goal was to make all of her friends comfortable in our little coffee shop and was always thinking of ways to make our time off the job enjoyable.
