Sumandig, Geraldo R's Obituary
Words cannot fully express what has been lost, but the memories behind those words bring his spirit to life. His was a life that began in humble circumstances and ended in the same quiet dignity. He was a man of strength and grace—qualities reflected even in his name. Geraldo, “ruler of the spear,” symbolizes strength, leadership, and power, all of which he carried throughout his life.
His strength was not only physical, but also emotional and spiritual. His leadership was felt by everyone who knew him—steady, patient, and always guided by love. His power showed through a never-ending capacity for kindness, devotion, and generosity. He lived his life with integrity, leading by example in his work, his friendships, and most of all, his family.
Born in the jungles of the Philippines, he journeyed with his mother and brother to the promised land of America. Through trials and challenges, he moved forward with determination and hope. Along the way, he found the love of his life, with whom he shared 55 years of devotion, building a beautiful family and a life filled with joy and purpose.
He will never be forgotten. His heart and soul live on in all who knew him.
