I met Rody soon after he moved to Roy. I soon realized he was the guy to talk to about plants and how to care for them. We shared fruit trees and berry plants,(my red grape plant is doing great). It seemed like he was on his feet from sun up to sundown working around his property, pruning, trimming and making his home look great. It was very common to hear his weed eater buzzing away on a summer afternoon. I miss that sound! When I decided on putting up a privacy fence Rody was all over it. As I recall he did most of the 4x4 post work using his concrete skills and I did the rest but he was always asking if he could help. Rody was a very generous hard working man who treated everyone like family and everyone who knew him knew that as well. He was kind of a father figure to me and every time we met up we hugged each other and I always got a big smile on his face when he saw me. I will never forget him...
