Gerald M. Turner's Obituary
Gerald Turner, age 90, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1933. Jerry attended Tacoma Secretarial School and worked for the city of Tacoma. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 and served in the European Front. After the service he worked as a sales representative for A.J. Johnson Co. and Sequoia Supply Inc. He was an active member of Hoo Hoo and the Tacoma ElkÂ's. Jerry was an avid gardener and was often referred to as the Â"Mayor of Harvard Ave.Â"Jerry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth; daughter Dianne (Michael) Anderson; son Michael (Monica) Turner; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Services will be Friday, Feb. 27 at 10:00 AM in the Mountain View Garden Chapel. A celebration of JerryÂ's life will follow at the Tacoma ElkÂ's Lodge.The family would like to thank the staff of Life Manor for their devotion and support.
