Gerald L. Dorfner's Obituary
Gerald “Jerry” Dorfner was born on April 13th, 1936 in his mother’s home. Jerry is survived by his wife Florence of 62 years, his 3 children, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Jerry was a family man and enjoyed helping everyone. He was a carpenter, fisherman, hunter and teacher, among many other skills. When he was younger he enjoyed racquetball, skiing, coaching his sons wrestling teams, golfing, clam digging, and hunting with is sons. Jerry served in the military for 3 years and lived in Japan with his wife for 2 years. When they returned to the states Jerry graduated from the 1st Firefighter/Paramedic class in Washington, where he then proudly began is 25 year long career as a firefighter. He retired as a paramedic at 50 years old. He was a Seahawks fan and loved football Sundays. He enjoyed sitting at his kitchen table watching the hummingbirds in his backyard and sitting on his front porch watching his neighbors. Jerry was an amazing Father, husband, uncle, cousin and grandfather. He was so loved and will be missed beyond measure. Jerry passed away in his home on October 21st, 2017.
