George Crombie's Obituary
George was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 1946 saw the Family’s move to Ft. Lewis area due to a Military transfer. After a few months in Military housing the Family found 5 acres that soon became home. George was still living on the property. George attended Clover Park Schools where he was involved in Choir, Drama & Chess Club, after graduating in 1960 he began his life’s journey first working Civil Service then a variety of enterprises: A Carnival Ride, A Second Hand Store & finally his favorite A Video Business. While all this was going on George was teaching himself to play the Accordion and began Entertaining at several Rehab. Facilities & Western State Hospital as a volunteer for 40+years. In addition to his other activities he took care of the Family cows & other animals. George loved his animals, especially German Shepard Bruno who only responded to commands in German. George was a kind caring person who’s quick wit & excellent memory allowed him to share stories & jokes with most everyone he met along life’s highway. He believed everyone needs a little laughter in their day.
