George was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 1946 saw the Family’s move to Ft. Lewis area due to a Military transfer. After a few months in Military housing the Family found 5 acres that soon became home. George was still living on th Read Obituary
I happened to be thinking of an old friend of mine from Washington State. When I typed in George's name, the obituary surfaced. I was stationed at Ft Lewis in 1967-68. I met George as we were neighbors, living on 150 th St. To make a long story short, I became his part time chauffeur . Driving that 1946 Cadillac hearse. George and his wife visited me some years back at my home in Minnesota. Always considered him as a friend. Sorry to hear of his death. Dan Ziegler
Dear Family. I am so happy that I had a chance to talk with George at our Clover Park Reunion in August. I told him that I knew him as Gordon in high school, and he proceeded to explain how he took the name George. He was very sincere and kind. I am so glad we talked. I am sorry for your loss. Those of us on the committee were sad to hear of George's passing.
