Beloved Son, Brother, and Friend
Gary served proudly for 3 years in the United States Navy aboard Carriers on the flight deck. He said he was in charge of fueling the planes and securing the pilot in the plane. He liked all kinds of sports and shared many an afternoon watching Huskies, Seahawks, & Mariners games with Mom & Dad . He enjoyed helping his friends with projects and was good at all kinds of problem solving. He had a great love of riding motorcycles. He watched out for his Mom & Dad always and loved his sister and brother-in-law. He retired from Boeing as a planner in November 2013. His father passed in 2020, and he is survived by his mom, Wanda Jo Gleason; sister, Sandra Melega; and brother-in-law, James Melega.
A Celebration of Life for Gary has been scheduled for Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00am. A Graveside Service with military honors is to follow at 12:30pm in Mountain View Memorial Park's Sunset Lawn section.
