Floyd Elsworth Hutto's Obituary
Floyd was born on July 26, 1933 in Cleburne, TX, and passed away on September 17, 2010 in Ft. Worth, TX. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Retha Hutto, Sr. Floyd was raised in Fort Worth, TX. He joined the army and was stationed at Fort Lewis. There, he met and fell in love with Bernice A. Strom. Floyd worked at Tacoma Boatbuilding Co., a family business started by his father-in-law, Arne K. Strom. He later joined his parents, operating a mobile home park in Tacoma. Floyd was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed music, cars, golf, and was an avid Seattle Seahawk fan. He and his wife enjoyed traveling together to visit family and friends. Floyd is survived by Bernice Hutto, the love of his life for 53 years, son "Hut" and wife Kim Hutto of Colleyville, TX and their children Taylor and Jenna; daughter Mindy and husband Gary Gibson of Tacoma; son and wife Arne and Loretta of Edgewater, FL and their children Sarah and Nolon; daughter Michele and husband Coyt Dunlap of Haslet, TX and their children Shelby, Morgan and McKenzie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 24, 2010 in the Mountain View Funeral Home Garden Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA. In his memory the family suggests memorial contributions to the building fund at the Lakeview church of Christ, 1709 112 St. S., Tacoma, WA 98448.
