Florence Lee Ball's Obituary
Florence Meyer Ball of Tacoma, an admired former teacher in the University Place School System and active Annie Wright alumnus, passed away in her Lakewood home on November 12, 2015. Survived by her husband, James Ball, sister Marilyn Meyer LaHusen, children Burr Henly, Mary Tyler, James Henly and Laura Thayer, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, all of whom adored her. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Meyer.
A service will be held at St Andrews Episcopal Church, 7410 S 12th St, Tacoma on November 28th at 10:00 am. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St Andrews’ Parish.
An extraordinary person whose kindness, steely intelligence, generosity of spirit, wisdom and proud Danish fortitude gave generations of her students and her family an example to aspire to.
