I adored Flo as a neighbor when I first moved to Gig Harbor. I knew her from her years of outstanding educational leadership in University Place and was so sad to read of her passing. There will never be another person like Flo. I hope her family finds strength and peace in her precious memory.

I’m lucky enough to have known Flo my entire life. She was always gracious to my family and I’m extremely grateful for all of the time I was fortunate enough to spend with her.
When I was about 13 Flo gave me one of my first jobs, doing some yard work and landscaping around her house. One work day, my brother and I were running a little (alright, maybe a lot) late and by the time we arrived Flo was rightfully concerned. The lesson she taught us that day about responsibility, respect and the importance of punctuality was direct, intelligent and made me feel like an adult, even if I was just a kid. I’ll never forget that lesson and I’ll never forget how important a role Flo has played in my life.
My thoughts and love are with the family during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of knowing Flo through my sister Deb, Jamie's wife. Flo would invite my family to their gatherings. I will always remember the Christmas programs we attended with her at Annie Wright. She made me feel like what I had to say was important and worth listening to.
