To my Dearest Mama Fatima,

Everything started at that bus stop in the rain, where you and Dad locked eyes and began 52 years of a beautiful life. Thank you for being the heart of the Muliufi family and for the legacy of faith you built for your 8 children, 36 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandkids.
Your life was defined by service—from your career as a nursing assistant to the dresses you sewed and the Polynesian sweets you baked. Even after your stroke, God gave us 22 bonus years to witness your strength. You spent that time seeing every grandchild born and teaching us the power of prayer.
I am so proud to be your 7th baby. Thank you for paving the way and leading us with your humor and your heart. I miss you every day, but I find peace knowing you are watching over us.
Give my son, Ezra, a huge kiss for me—I hope he’s behaving himself up there! Until we meet again, your love lives on in all of us.

She was the best mother to me and a loving grandmother to my children. Our beloved Mother, Fatima Muliufi, was the heart of our family—full of love, strength, and kindness that touched us all. Her presence was a blessing, and her love will forever live on in each of us. Though our hearts are heavy and we miss her more than words can express, we find comfort knowing she is at peace in the arms of our Lord. in honor of Fatima.

I have many memories with and of my Mother. I will share this one today. My Mother was a true example of what a caring and generous person is. Any time I was with her as a child, I could always recall a time when she would see a person in need and stop to help them. She taught me to be kind and has instilled in me the caring attribute that sometimes can bite me if I'm not careful. That's the thing about my mom. Even though she knew the person she was going to help would not be kind to her even after being helped, she still helped them as much as she could because that's just who she was. A God fearing woman and the best Mother I could have ever asked for or imagined. Thank you for all you've done for me Mama, your love and grace was exactly what I needed growing up. I will always share stories about you to your grandkids and great grandkids, you will never be forgotten. I love you with all of my heart!!
