Evelyn Swanson-Wayno's Obituary
Evelyn Swanson was born in Tacoma, WA Sept. 4, 1925. She was a lifelong resident of Tacoma and U.P. She passed away in Puyallup, February 4, 2017 in the loving care of Pioneer House A.F H.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Lowell Swanson, her parents Bernard and Volborg Bjorkman, four brothers, two sisters, one grandchild, many good friends and in-laws and John Wayno; whom she married in 1989.
Evelyn was an avid golfer; she was a member of Ft. Steilacoom and PLU women’s golf teams. She enjoyed the beach, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Robert Swanson (Patty), Daughter, Kathy Bate (Tom), grandchildren Aaron Swanson, Jay Swanson (Aimee), Eric Bate, Kristen Bate and Jaime Willet (Barrett). She is also survived by four great grandsons, and her first great granddaughter. She will be missed for her kind and loving spirit.
A funeral service for Evelyn will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home's Aspen Chapel Friday, February 17 at 1:00 pm.
