Evelyn was the most loving, kind, caring, joyful and fun person we have had the privilege of knowing. She and my dad had 12 wonderful years of marriage. They both loved golf and traveling. Evelyn always made you feel so welcome -- we were truly blessed to have her as part of our family and in our lives!
Having recently gone to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I was constantly reminded of the fun time we enjoyed with she and my dad celebrating my 50th birthday there many years ago! She had an infectious laugh and always so pleasant and easy to be with.
Evelyn loved her family very much which was always evident. My sister and I fortunately visited with her early January. Being typical January weather, it was very cold so when I held her hand, she commented "cold". I said, "Yes", and started to pull my cold hand away from her warm hand I held. But instead she pulled my cold hand in hers under the covers to warm it up. This was her typical warm-heartedness showing through. These memories are etched in my mind forever!
We will always hold a very special place in our hearts for her. She surely lightened up any situation and must be a shining light in heaven as well! She is sorely missed but always will be deeply loved.
May God keep her close and comfort all of those who love her so.
We hold her in fondest memories,
Merlin and Sharon Meyer
