Evelyn Margherite Davis' Obituary
Born May 23, 1910 in Delphos, Kansas, Evelyn Margherite Keller was the fourth child of George and Anna Keller. She moved to the Tacoma area and married W. Wright Davis in 1937. She worked as a dental assistant and dabbled in journalism while living in Alaska and California. Ending her career she spent her last thirty-five years as owner and operator of a boarding home for disabled veterans. During those years she organized and facilitated the Disabled VeteransÂ' Drop in Center. Loving animals and having a green thumb, she spent many hours with her dog tucked safely in her apron pocket as she tended to her garden and houseplants. Evelyn is survived by her 3 children, Larry Davis (Squaw Valley, CA), Sandra Willis (Gig Harbor), Melodie Keely (Shelton), 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. We want to thank the staff at Olympic AlzheimerÂ's and Franciscan Hospice for their loving care. A Memorial Service will be held at Believers Fellowship, 4112 Hunt St. NW, Gig Harbor, WA at 2 p.m. on June 26th.
