Etta B. (Lytle)'s Obituary
Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Friend. Always Loving, Always Loved. Etta went home to her Lord on April 14, 2005 in Tacoma, WA.Etta was born on February 4, 1911 in Chauncey, IL. Her family moved to eastern Montana to homestead in 1914. In 1924 they settled in Circle, MT where she graduated from high school and took correspondent classes to become a secretary. In the early 1930Â's she began working for the McCone County Agricultural Adjustment Administration Board. In 1942 she wanted to do her part in serving her country during WWII, so she went to work for the US Army Finance Office in Ft. Peck, MT. It was during this time that she met her husband Don. They were married in 1943 and after the war moved to Tacoma, WA.Etta retired in 1971 after 15 years with the City of Tacoma Public Utilities. She loved writing and was a published poet. She was a longtime member of Skyline Christian Church and later joined Peoples Church, now Champions Center.Etta was preceded in death by her husband Don in 1984. She is survived by her 3 children. Dick Â- Spanaway, WA; Denny - Snyder, OK; and Wendy (Bob) Mattlin Â- Puyallup, WA. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a 9th great-grandchild due in July, and countless friends whom she cherished dearly.There will be a Celebration of EttaÂ's Life from 3 Â- 7 PM on Sunday, May 15, 2005 at the home of Bob & Wendy Mattlin.
