Eric Charles Westbrook's Obituary
ERIC CHARLES WESTBROOK was born on May 12, 1960 in Tacoma, Washington, and passed away peacefully on December 27th 2016 at Tacoma General Hospital.
Eric was one of 11 children born to the union of Bishop T.L. Westbrook and Lois Inez Westbrook.
It was during his attendance at Northwest Bible College that he met the love of his life, Julie Marie Crisp, and they married October 4th, 1980.
Eric and Julie had four children: Eric Charles Westbrook II, (Ama) and they have one daughter, Aria; Janine Marie Moses (Airrion) and they have two daughters, Peyton Nicole, and McKenzie Marie Moses; their youngest son, Christian Thomas Westbrook, and lastly, their youngest daughter, Danielle Josephine Westbrook.
Besides laboring in the ministry as a Superintendent and Pastor, Eric enlisted and served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 6 years, and worked 15 years at the Auburn, Boeing plant as a Quality Assurance Inspector. Eric established the Royal Palace Childcare Center in September of 2003, which still services children and their families in the Lakewood, Washington area.
Eric was 2 quarters shy of completing his Masters Degree in Theology at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary at the time of his heart attack on October 20, 2005, which unfortunately never allowed him to complete it.
Eric remained in an Anoxic Coma for 11 years, 2 months and 7 days, and with his loving wife and youngest son Christian at his side, Eric departed us quietly, and peacefully!
Eric is proceeded in death by his Mother and Father, but leaves behind to continue the work Tommy Lee, Jr of Milwaukee, WS, Evelyn Ruth of San Bernadino, CA, Louis Andrew (Angelique), Tacoma, WA, Glenda Louise (Hank), Federal Way, WA, Milton of Las Vegas, NV, Kelvin (Valerie), St Louis, MO, Jacqueline (Derrick), Temecula, CA, Charlotte Genise of Tacoma, WA, Cheryl Inez of Raleigh, NC, Debrae Shan of Tacoma, WA, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, his mother-in-law Josephine Crisp, and his beloved Washington State Jurisdictions church family.
We celebrate the life of Eric Charles Westbrook! We welcome you to attend on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at 11:30 am, at New Jerusalem Church of God, 1623 S. 11th St., Tacoma, WA. Interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.
