Ellen L. Cannell's Obituary
Ellen L. Cannell, 80, passed away April 1, 2014 in Puyallup, WA. She was born on November 13, 1933 in Chelan, WA to Alfred Martin and Rose Maude (Crow) Venneberg.
Ellen was a member of the Spanaway United Methodist Church. She was very active at the church teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and caring for children at their daycare.
Two of Ellen's major passions in life were family and young people. Her involvement in the Campfire Girls during her youth in Chelan and adult leader in theTacoma area, her work with youth groups and Church school at Lesourd, Mason, and Spanaway Methodist Churches, and her daycare services to hundreds of area children have provided positive, life-influencuing values to generations of community members.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert; children Gary, Tami (Emery) Hobart, Tom (Tracy), Kathy Benjamin; sister Celia (Brooks) Lupien; brother Edward (Joanne) Venneberg; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1pm, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Spanaway United Methodist Church.
