Elfrieda Trettin's Obituary
Elfrieda Trettin was born in Germany on September 10, 1910 and raised in Vienna, Austria. She passed away June 5, 2005 surrounded by loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emil Trettin, in 1975. She was a long time resident of Tacoma, having moved here in 1929.She is survived by Roy and Connie, Leo and Teri, and Kurt, 6 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Trudy Heistand and Helen Foutch.In her youth she was an avid climber, having climbed the Matterhorn in Europe and Mt. Rainier. She enjoyed family celebrations, travel, and gardening. She also left many loving family and friends in Germany and Austria. In addition, she was beloved by all that knew her as Â"OmiÂ" or Â"Tante FriedaÂ", and we will all miss her wonderful, caring ways.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 9, 2005 in the Mt. View Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society or Franciscan Hospice.
