Nancy, I am so sorry to learn of Ed's passing -- I had no idea he was ill. Our prayers are with you and your love ones during these difficult times. As you know, Ed and I go back to 36-years ago when the two of us worked together in the Com/Nav shop at Tachikawa & Yokota Air Bases, Japan. We commuted to work together from our homes at Kanto Mura where we were neighborers. In the work place, Ed was highly respected by his fellow airmen because of his competence, intelligence, and devotion to duty. He will be missed by many.##imported-begin##Charles Tuck##imported-end##
My Father was a friend of Mr. Jarvis. May God hold you in this time of heartache.

This "Big Ed" captured you with his quiet strength of character, his hard working attitude, his sense of humor and sense of responsibility. A treasured Friendship which began while together in the Air Force in Japan 1963-1964 and continues with my fond memories today.##imported-begin##BOYD HAZLETT##imported-end##
Nancy,
I am so sorry for your loss. You and Ed have been the best neighbors anyone could ever ask for. It probably didn't hurt that my last name also happens to be Jarvis. Because you're across the street, I always feel perfectly safe and secure with the knowledge that you, Nancy, are the unofficial neighborhood watch person. We will continue to talk and compare notes as to the neighborhood activity. Always feel free to call upon me for anything. You and Ed were most helpful to me when I moved in back in June of 2001. May you find peace in the knowledge that Ed is now in a much better place keeping watch on all of us.##imported-begin##Linda Jarvis##imported-end##

Ed was a fellow volunteer at the UP/PD and was always so knowledgeable in his work and the resources available to him.
He will be missed.
