So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was a true man of God and lead by example. Always had a smile on his face and loved shopping for the love of his life, Donna. May the family find peace in knowing that Ed is now home with our loving Father.

Blessed are those who had Ed Long as a friend. He is a caring man who has everyone's eternal best interests at heart. I use the present tense because Ed is more alive than ever in our Lord's presence. If the saints in heaven pray for us, I know Ed is praying for his friends, his dear wife Donna, and all their children and grandchildren. Until we meet again, I will dearly miss the personal encouragements I frequently received from Ed. In the final season of his life in this world, Ed had become a valued fellow student, as he joined me and others in the study of the Greek and Hebrew Scriptures. He was ever eager to know God better, and to understand God's word more accurately. At 81 years of age, his nimble mind and love for Jesus encouraged us all in our commitment to life-long-learning for Christ's sake. This man leaves a big hole on earth as he adds his heart full of joy to the heavenly throng.
Ed is a dear brother in Christ and I miss him greatly . Our HOPE in Christ brings great comfort. Having known Ed and Donna for almost 10 years and fellowshiping with them and enjoying our pursuit of Authentic Manhood together has been very meaningful to me. I will see you "soon" brother.
