Edith N. Solheim's Obituary
Edith Solheim passed suddenly early Tuesday morning, April 12, 2005. Born January 22nd, 1943 in Tacoma to Marion and Elaine Collins, she lived in Tacoma her entire life, meeting her future husband Patrick, at age 14. They were married 7 years later, September 28th, 1962. In addition to her husband, she leaves her son Rick (Sue) Solheim, and children Victoria, Charlette, Leanna L, and Chrystal L, and daughter Araina (Rusty) Harris and children Ryhon, Brittney, and Nicholas. She also leaves her brother Bob (Sharan) Collins, and sister Marianne Larson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Edith was a skilled seamstress, especially when making her signature Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. She lovingly crafted them in a variety of skin tones, and gave each their own heart. She enjoyed bargain hunting at her good friend RoxeanneÂ's estate sales, entertaining in her home, and spending time with her grandchildren. Edith mostly loved her time spent helping to raise her granddaughter Charlette. A celebration of Edith's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 17th, 411 S. 117th Street, Tacoma.
