Earl Robinson's Obituary
A good man departed last week. He leaves many monuments. He was most proud of the Tacoma Mall complex. Notice as you drive around it the massive walls of brick on NordstromÂ's, Bon-MacyÂ's and the rest of the complex. Earl and Gary KazdaÂ's company, Â"Masonry Unlimited,Â" were the masonry contractors on the project in 1961. He built schools, churches, fire stations, banks, and fireplaces. He worked in boilers, kilns, and furnaces. Earl also worked for the Tacoma School District and at Bates Technical College, where he passed his craft on to many apprentices. Last year Dad received his 50 year pin from Bricklayers Local #1 joining his father in this achievement. Scoutmaster for Troop 54, he helped guide the lives of many boys. Navy veteran, boat builder, cabinet maker, and a great father; Earl is preceded in death by his loving wife Ellen, and his wonderful friend, Melba. He is survived by: sons Tom, and Marc; granddaughters: Jennifer, Mai, and Kate; and great granddaughter Angelina. He will be dearly missed.Memorial contributions may be made in EarlÂ's name to a cancer or heart research charity of your choice. Funeral Services will be held on Mon. Jan. 19, 2004 at 1pm in the Mt. View Garden Chapel.
