It has taken me this long to finally be able to write something here.
Earl and Ellen Robinson were among my most favorite people in the whole world. They are deeply missed, but all the fond memories of them, their kindness and love fill the void left by their departure.

Thanks for the good picture in the obituary. Taught Dan, David and Dennis
to lay rock, Duff to mix mortar and Joan and Joanne to point up the mortar.
He built our 40 ft. chimney with two rock fireplaces. We loved him like
family. We live in Life Manor Assisted Living in Tacoma now and can't make it
to the funeral. Special hug to Marc: we met in Chattanooga. We loved Earl
like family. Used to see him at family reunions in Elma. Now look forward to

We were saddened to hear of the passing of your father, Earl. We have many fond memories from many years ago, of our families together through scouting in Troop 54, St. Paul's church as well as, our school years at Whitman, Stewart and Lincoln. Earl was very special to me. I'm Dan Franklin's son, and met Earl when he helped us build our basement. As a sixteen year old, he had me do some hodcarrying, and he was great to work for. I liked him very much. I was flooded with memories when I heard of his passing.
Here are some:
1) He could talk with smoke coming out of his mouth from one drag for five minutes! (Pall Mall non-filters)
2) The 55 Pontiac
3) He was kind to a sixteen year old kid
4) "Make sure you rinse all of the mortar off or we'll never get it off"
5) Watching a lady hand pick each brick to Earl for a fireplace and his smile
6) The Bon Marche wall
7) The first rock for the island
8) Where the term "a Chink" in the wall came from
9) "Get me some Mud!"
10) The first feeling of a "job well done" from an independent contractor, on a real job
11) A Master Mason
