Doug was an amazing guy and loved by many. He was truly a gift of friendship for our family and especially my father for 65 years starting at the SAE house at Stanford. I can't wait to see him in heaven when its my time to go. I know he will be at the gate calling "Nick the quick" let me show you the way in. Hi Ozzie and kids,
Bo sent me news of Doug's passing. I am so sorry. I had been following his illnes through news from my Dad but did not realize that the illness was bone cancer. I am glad he didn't know that until the end. We have many good memories of Doug. I especially have fun and fond memories of playing bridge with him. He was the consumate teacher and loved doing so. I will forever remember him in his plaid slacks and a golf shirt, tanned and healthy looking. We will all miss him. I hope you are all together and sharing the fun memories to help you through this time of loss. Know I am thinking of you all and sending you my best wishes.
