I grew up with Dorothy and her brothers in Tacoma. Our family lived around the corner from the McCullum's and we were at their house almost everyday. Dorothy would spend time with the Odom girls playing, going to the library, and the local grocery stores where we would buy penny candy almost everyday. We learned how to crochet a string of yarn in elementary school. She took it to an expert level and my son still has the blanket she crocheted for him 40 years ago. She was a strong woman who overcame adversities and kept it moving. I will miss her texts and her Facebook postings. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing and my love and thoughts are with the family.
